A place where the animals of the land
Live and wander freely,
Unhindered amongst man.
After travelling through Wolgan Valley we just kept going,
Ending up at Newnes camping ground.
Surrounded by the luscious wilderness of,
Wollemi National Park.
Newnes camping area is nestled,
In the little Capertree Creek Valley.
Wallabies and Wombats wandered freely here,
Amongst the few campers,
But cautiously moved away,
If you came too close.
As the large mountains loomed over me,
I felt like I was in paradise,
And wished to stay for a bit longer.
But this was a long trip,
And we had to head home.
